Antimicrobial Copper Sinks

What you need to know...

Not all copper sinks are made alike. In fact, only copper sink companies registered with the E.P.A. can legally make claims that their sinks are antimicrobial. Of course, we are registered.

The E.P.A. is the government arm that polices the quality of the copper in terms of the metal having any toxic impurities, as well as making sure the metal is of the correct alloy. Several alloys are deemed antimicrobial, however, the purest copper (which we use) is considered to be the most robust in killing certain bacteria the fastest.

We have been working with the Copper Development Association for several years. They recently recognized our efforts with a gift that will become one of my prized possessions. It is a limited edition Cross antimicrobial pen. See the letter below, with an insert photo I took of the pen.
