These rare sinks are made in Arizona by a jewelry artisan
using over 85% pure gemstone in combination with jewelry resins to make
basins that are a fraction of what they would cost if it were possible to
find a stone this size. A solid lapis sink, the size shown, would cost
upwards of $100,000. These sinks are non-porous and very durable. Significant

Free Form vessel Persian Turquoise This form of turquoise comes from the middle east and gets its deep coloration from copper and iron ore. Persian Turquoise has black veining and is a bit bluer than Arizona Turquoise.

Form vessel bowl with stone edge. This gorgeous bowl is made of the
semi-precious stone Lapis Lazuli. The interior is unpolished. All sinks are available in different styles
and stone materials. Lapis is prized for its deep blue color. It was
used by ancient Egyptians in a powdered form for eye shadow. Lapis
generally has specks of Iron Pyrite in it (Fools Gold). You will see
this throughout our sink.

Arizona Turquoise "self rimming" bowl. All stone sinks are available as self
rimming (top mount).
Arizona Turquoise is a bit greener than Persian Turquoise. It has brown and
golden veining.

Our gemstone sinks are manufactured in Arizona by a company who specializes in gemstones for use in the jewelry industry. The sinks are made using crushed and purified gemstone. It is reconstituted using gemstone resin (just like what is used in the jewelry). The artistic reconstitution, with color and pattern that mimics the solid stone is an exclusive process known only to this company. DuPont tried to purchase the process and was turned down. The stones look so much like the original that even a jeweler would have a tough time telling the difference. The photos do not do justice to the amazing look of these sinks. So many customers have called after delivery and have told us just that!
