Stainless Steel Top Mount (Self Rimming) SinksNeed a replacement for a sink that has been discontinued? Looking for a
48" X 22" self rimming sink that is a single or double bowl? Want an upgrade
from a triple bowl or double bowl sink? We do this every day. Give me a
call. I would love to tell you how simple this is to accomplish. This sink features our "Smarter Sink" optional ledge for cutting boards, grid drainers and colanders.
Rich went from the most difficult sink in the industry to use, to the easiest. Way to go Rich! Our customer, Rich, was kind enough to send an installed photo today
(7-7-11) His photo is more realistic in terms of what the hammering looks
like. Mine (above) makes it look more hammered than it really is -due to the
flash. Rich's kind note: We absolutely love the sink. It is everything you promised and more. It is such a great cook's sink. The hammered look was worth every cent and can't wait to get the shelf done to use the Smart Sink feature. Rich also invested in the Waterstone Towson 4100-18 with a side spray, air gap, and a hot/filtered water faucet. I am so jealous! I would love to cook a meal and clean up in this ultimate set up!
Please note: Our customer requested a rear center drain. We highly recommend a rear corner drain. Also note, most of the photos on this page show our optional Smarter Ledges. They're just that popular!
This is our new Rustic hand rubbed matte stainless. You can click on the image for a closer look. The sample next to the sink is standard brushed stainless. If you are looking for a more rustic look in stainless, this is it! By the way, our "Smarter Sink" option is available for any of our sinks!
We have often been asked about whether we use sound deadening on
the bottom of our sinks. Years ago, we tried several products,
including the pads that many other sink manufacturers use. Due
to the thickness of our stainless, these products did virtually
nothing. In order to dampen sound, the product must alter how
much the metal flexes or provide a sound barrier between you and
the sink. Rubber pads do the trick with 18 gauge sinks or 16
gauge sinks that have been pressed into shape, as the pressing
stretches the stainless to a much thinner gauge than the
original. The thinner metal can be affected by rubber pads.
Since our sinks are so heavy and rigid, merely installing them
cuts down the sound generated by dropping an item in the sink.
The larger sinks, those 36" and longer, have been a challenge
for me to find something to deaden the sound more.
Recently, while doing my daily research, I found a product that
works on our beefy stainless sinks. You see, a rubber
product is just not good enough. Our new vibration damping
sheets are constructed of an advanced, non-curing, butylene
rubber bonded to a thin layer of black aluminum. Unlike other
types of vibration damping material, ours has been engineered to
utilize sheer force to control vibration. The thin layer of
aluminum incorporated into the sound damping product will
prevent the stainless from vibrating far better than any other
product I have found.
Starting May 1, 2011, all stainless sinks 30" or larger, will
have a damping sheet attached to the bottom of the sink. |
