Our custom brass sinks undergo a burnishing process similar to our copper patina technique. After burnishing, the brass acquires a subtle greenish tint. Opting for our weathering/burnishing patina process ensures a fairly consistent tone throughout. If you choose to keep your brass untouched, expect a more diverse range of patterns and shades. Our choice of brass has a slightly elevated copper content, which we favor for its inviting warm hue.
Unburnished and unlacquered brass sinks demand considerable upkeep to maintain their "new brass" appearance. A few of our clients choose to get their sinks in this state, allowing them to age naturally. Brass typically comprises 60% to 70% copper, with the remainder being zinc. Our domestic brass is an alloy with a 70% copper content. As brass ages, it will take on a greenish hue.
A key reason we've maintained 100% 5-star reviews for the past 24 years is my straightforward approach with customers regarding expectations and the proper care for their custom sinks. Given that brass shares many properties with copper, you can find additional usage and care details on our copper page.
This huge drop in NexGen™ workstation sink features large integral drainboards on each side. It is 89" overall with 25" drainboards on each side. You have the option to request a light or deep initial burnishing on your sink. This one has a light burnishing. The drainboard sink to the top left has a deep initial burnishing.
Bronze exhibits a rich, deep golden hue with warm undertones.
Brass exhibits a rich combination of hues with subtle hints of green.
We are thrilled to share the design of our latest sink, created especially for our test kitchen. It's all about bringing people together, and we've named it Harmony™ because it allows two people to work side-by-side effortlessly. Whether you're both right-handed or one of you is left-handed, we've thought of everything to make sure it's a perfect fit.
For the decor, we've chosen a mix of brass and stainless steel to give the kitchen a warm yet sleek look. The sink’s apron front shines in brass, protected by a sturdy clear coat, while the rest of the sink is made from our top-quality, hand-finished 316L surgical grade stainless steel. This sink features our Paragon™ dual-tier, tri-level workstation that's all about versatility and efficiency.
To complete the picture, we've paired the sink with two Waterstone 9750 suites, blending stainless steel and satin brass finishes for that perfect finishing touch. We've created a space that’s both functional and beautiful, where cooking together is a joy.
Our exclusive 14-gauge domestic bronze alloy consists of 90% copper and 10% zinc, setting it apart with a rich, warm golden hue. In contrast, many other bronze alloys bear a resemblance to brass, lacking the distinct glow of our material. While bronze and brass are both derivatives of copper, sharing similar care requirements and attributes, the specific type of bronze we utilize is uncommon in large sheet format. It's more frequently seen gracing upscale hotels and resorts in the form of railings and doorknobs.
Burnished bronze has a warm, deep, golden tone. Bronze has the same easy care as our copper sinks. Bronze is a living finish and will change over time. The care is simple, just use the sink and rinse when finished. The best practice is not to leave food or pots and pans in the sink. They will leave marks that will go away by themselves. Simply wash with a soap like Dawn. No other effort is necessary.
Bronze retrofit drop in sink. This is a Paragon™ workstation sink with a multi-purpose grid, a sponge caddy, a black butcher grade cutting board, a knife slot, and a bowl with three silverware holders. This sink was shipped to one of our customers in Japan.
This unique custom bar sink features a removable divider, ingeniously designed to accommodate ice on the left side while still providing access to the drain on the right. The sink is further enhanced by custom multi-purpose grids, doubling as additional counter space or as a convenient spot for drying hand-washed glasses. Completing this versatile and functional design is a butcher-grade cutting board, seamlessly integrating into the sink and elevating its practicality and utility.
Our skilled team seamlessly joined the copper bowl to the bronze flanges at the upper edges of the front and back ledges. This integration ensures the bronze accent accessories fit perfectly. Crafted to serve as a drop-in sink, the harmonious blend of copper and bronze in this creation requires exceptional precision in both the welding and finishing processes, showcasing the high level of skill and attention to detail that our team brings to each project.
As the name implies, the Harmony Dual Drain sink is designed with two drains, which is a unique Rachiele custom sink feature. This design allows for more efficient water drainage and offers versatility in how the sink is used. It can be easily used by two users, even if one is right-handed and the other is left-handed. We would move the left side drain to the far left corner for the left handed user.
