What motivated me to leave my career as a professional kitchen designer and transition into sink design and manufacturing? The answer lies in my tendency to see poorly designed products and instinctively think of better solutions. Let me give you an example unrelated to kitchens: car doors. For decades, car doors have opened the same way, with two or three fixed stopping points. Often, these hinges make the door pull away from you to settle into one of those spots, which I find both inefficient and frustrating. Parking in tight spaces becomes a challenge as the door tries to swing into the neighboring car. A better system would involve a hinge without fixed stops and a brake mechanism in the handle, allowing the user to lock the door at any angle until it’s intentionally released. Simple, effective, and far less prone to causing dings.
Back to my career shift. I was a passionate and attentive kitchen designer who spent countless hours understanding my clients’ unique needs and lifestyles. But one element always frustrated me: the sink. Every sink on the market seemed thoughtlessly designed, failing to enhance the kitchens I worked so hard to perfect. I repeatedly encountered sinks that wasted space, lacked functionality, or ignored real-world kitchen workflows. Eventually, I’d had enough. Below is a bit of our timeline over the past 25 years.

I reached out to several major sink manufacturers, pitching the idea of a single-bowl sink with a rear corner drain—something that made sense ergonomically and spatially. Not one of them was interested. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I approached several U.S.-based companies, hoping they could manufacture my designs. To my dismay, each company claimed to be the best but delivered samples that were disappointing in both quality and craftsmanship. Then, unexpectedly, I discovered a high-end metal shop right in my backyard. Their work was impeccable, having served prestigious clients like Disney, SeaWorld, and the Orlando Airport. Their standards matched mine, and for years, they brought my designs to life.
Eventually, I realized that to truly innovate, I needed to bring production in-house, and I opened my own artisan shop. Despite having no background in manufacturing, welding, or patination, I dove headfirst into learning. I’ve always been an experimenter, fueled by intuition and a relentless drive to improve. Over time, I found ways to refine nearly every aspect of our production process, from welding and forming to creating unique patinas.
I thrive on thinking outside the box and challenging traditional methods. Sticking with the status quo feels like settling for mediocrity, and I refuse to accept that. This mindset has even shaped how we approach marketing—foregoing printed literature because our rapid innovation would render it obsolete before it was even distributed. Hardly a day goes by without an update on our website. The innovation is constant.
Today, I’m surrounded by a team of brilliant minds who share my passion for constant improvement. Together, we push boundaries, creating products that are not only functional but also transformative for our customers. Every day is an adventure here, filled with excitement and the satisfaction of knowing we have redefined an industry and will continue to lead the pack.
