Aerospace-Grade TIG Welding Verified by NASA and Blue Origin Experts
We are honored when industry professionals recognize the level of technical precision we put into every 316L stainless steel sink. In 2021, a group of NASA welding experts visited our artisan shop and confirmed that we utilize the same high-end TIG welding equipment trusted by NASA for aerospace applications. After observing our meticulous hand-finishing process firsthand, one expert famously remarked, “Take my money,” leading to multiple orders from the aerospace welding community. This validation from NASA and Blue Origin highlights our obsession with metallurgical perfection, resulting in a cleaner, more refined sink with the sleek, uninterrupted lines that only master-level craftsmanship can achieve.
MicroWelding™ Technology for Seamless, Easy-to-Clean Sink Corners
The precision of our exclusive MicroWelding™ technique ensures that every interior corner is meticulously fused and hand-finished to a glassy, seamless result. Unlike mass-produced sinks that rely on bulky welds or sharp junctions that trap debris, our process shapes the transition from bottom to side into a smooth curve. This level of craftsmanship, which takes nearly a full day to complete, eliminates buildup-prone crevices and makes our 316L stainless steel sinks remarkably easy to maintain. The result is a flawless corner that remains bright and hygienic years after installation, a fact consistently verified by our customer-submitted photos.
The Original Workstation Sink: Precision Integrated Ledge Systems
Rachiele® introduced the workstation concept over 16 years ago, refining every dimension for peak kitchen performance. Our proprietary integrated ledge system supports accessories like half-sheet pans directly at the sink, instantly creating extra workspace exactly where it is needed. This functional luxury streamlines the transition from prep to cleanup using integrated cutting boards and multi-use grids.
Why 316L Surgical Grade Stainless Steel is the Gold Standard

The Gold Standard in Kitchen Durability
At Rachiele®, we exclusively use domestic 316L surgical-grade stainless steel—an elite material chosen for its superior corrosion and scratch resistance, strength, and longevity. Unlike standard 304 or even 316 (marine-grade) stainless, 316L resists staining from soapy water, hard water minerals, and even household bleach—making it exceptionally easy to maintain.
The sink pictured above showcases the clean, matte elegance of our hand-finished sinks. This material is not only more resilient to scratches than 304 steel, it’s also significantly more resistant to pitting and surface deterioration over time.

We’re always honored when industry professionals recognize the level of craftsmanship we put into our sinks. In 2021, a group of NASA welding experts visited our artisan shop and were genuinely impressed to see that we use the same high-end welding equipment trusted by NASA.
After watching our welding and finishing process firsthand, one of them said, “Take my money.” He later ordered a sink and shared his experience with colleagues, which led to another order from a fellow welder.
What impressed them most, along with a more recent visit from a welding expert at Blue Origin, was the precision and control of our welding. These exceptionally fine welds require more time and skill, but the result is a cleaner, more refined sink with sleek, uninterrupted lines that speak for themselves.
This kind of detail does not happen by accident. It’s the result of passion, patience, and an obsession with perfection. I’m proud to share close-up images of our team’s work, because when the experts take notice, you know it’s something special.

The image above highlights the precision of our exclusive MicroWelding™ technique—where each interior corner is meticulously welded and hand-finished to a glassy, seamless result. The transition from bottom to side is carefully shaped into a smooth curve, making these corners not only beautiful but also remarkably easy to clean.
Unlike other square corner sink that rely on bulky welds or sharp junctions, our method eliminates buildup-prone crevices. This level of craftsmanship takes the better part of a full day to complete, but the reward is lasting beauty and effortless maintenance—something our customers consistently rave about.

We zoomed in on a customer-submitted photo after years of daily use. What caught our eye was the pristine condition of the MicroWelded vertical corner (upper left)—still clean, bright, and smooth.
The image hasn’t been retouched. That flawless weld you see is a testament to the precision of our MicroWelding process. The surface is so refined that debris and buildup struggle to adhere—something you can’t achieve with mass-produced or hand-tacked seams.
When we say our welds stand the test of time, we mean it—and now you can see it.
The image above shows one of our workstation sinks in action. Making meatballs - and even frying them on the sink! Yes, the electric frying pan is sitting on one of our multi-use grids.
Each Rachiele® sink is intelligently designed to support a half-sheet or steam oven pan directly on the ledge, giving you extra counterspace exactly where you need it—right at the sink.
Prep Tip: Grill outdoors, bring your meat in on a half-sheet pan, slice it on the cutting board, and let the sink do the rest. It's functional luxury at its finest.
“You Have No Idea Until You Use It” Remember when the kitchen was the center of everything? When meals brought everyone together, and conversation flowed as easily as the pasta sauce? That’s what we design for. A Rachiele® sink isn’t just functional—it becomes the heartbeat of your home. Custom-built to fit your life, it quietly restores the rhythm of togetherness we all grew up with… and wish we had more of today.
A sink should not require mats or grids to hide inferior materials. These accessories trap moisture and bacteria, creating unsanitary environments. Our proprietary, hand-applied finish on 316L surgical stainless steel is engineered to disguise wear and resist scratching naturally. This creates a seamless, hygienic surface that performs beautifully without the need for gimmicks or extra maintenance.

Identifying Design Failures and Sanitary Risks in Conventional Luxury Sinks
Many high-end brands use design shortcuts that trap water and bacteria along caulk lines. We eliminate these common failure points, specifically the use of the sink flange as an accessory step, to maximize long-term hygiene and usability. True luxury is defined by intentional engineering and enduring materials rather than flashy marketing or low-quality accessories that lose value quickly.

"My previous sink was marketed as a top tier luxury workstation sink, yet it arrived with an assortment of lightweight, single purpose accessories that proved to be of little practical use," a client shared with me during a recent Zoom call.
Many competitor accessories only look good for a year or less. Their sinks are designed to shine in marketing photos and expensive videos—not in your kitchen. And good luck finding
a warranty on any of their accessories. We build for those who find joy in cooking, who savor the process, and who see the kitchen as a place of connection—more like an old-fashioned family gathering than just a spot to serve food. Our accessories are few, multi-functional, and built to last. Our metal accessories have a lifetime transferable warranty. Our butcher grade cutting boards have a 3 year warranty - including our white boards. If they stain, we replace at no charge. You will likely not find any company with a warranty on their accessories!
No cheap plastics. No clutter. Just purposeful design.
Accessories with real warranties.
If cafeteria-style serving is your style, we respect that—it works for some. But at Rachiele®, we design for a different kind of kitchen experience. We’re not an “everybody” sink company.
Our accessories aren’t dreamed up in a boardroom—they’re born from real kitchen experiences, shaped by real cooks and professional chefs. Designed by Dino, an avid home chef, and inspired by feedback from thousands of customers over 26 years. Many of our best ideas came directly from the people who use our sinks every day.
Most competitor accessories are designed for marketing photos rather than long-term use in a busy kitchen. Our custom metal accessories are built to last and include a lifetime transferable warranty. We also provide a three-year warranty on our butcher-grade cutting boards, including our white boards, which we replace at no charge if they stain. By focusing on multi-functional design instead of cheap materials, we ensure your tools remain as durable as your sink.
The new Culinary Dock™—shown above—is a brilliant innovation sparked by a customer’s idea. We listen. We respond. And when a great idea emerges, we bring it to life. No marketing team. No advertising budget. Just steady evolution—rooted in purpose, driven by what makes sense.
An industrial ballet of weld precision and surface finesse.
Our optional 1/8" radius corners.
Achieving a 1/8" radius inside corner on a 316L stainless steel sink requires exceptional TIG welding control and post-weld surface refinement. This specialized option provides a continuous fusion weld without filler buildup or surface discoloration. Our multi-stage finishing process eliminates transitions between the base metal and the weld zone, creating an ultra-fine tolerance that meets the highest architectural standards. This level of detail ensures a sanitary, easy-to-clean surface that is significantly more refined than industry-standard square corners.

The photo above showcases our striking Millennia™ texture—created with a 40-ton press to deliver both visual brilliance and practical performance. The finely embossed pattern diffuses reflections, camouflages water spots and scratches, and adds an eye-catching dimension to the stainless steel surface.
Beyond aesthetics, Millennia™ stainless steel is NSF Certified—an assurance of quality, cleanliness, and food-safe durability. This level of certification is required in commercial kitchens, medical environments, and any setting where hygiene is non-negotiable.
Perfect for clients who want bold style without compromising on performance or sanitation.
A quote from an expert: "This is exceptionally clean work. The 1/8” TIG weld on this 316L stainless outside corner shows remarkable consistency. The bead is uniform from start to finish, with tight, even ripples that reflect expert torch control and precise heat management. Edge fusion is flawless—both sides of the joint are well-bonded with no signs of undercut or overfill. There’s no porosity, crater cracking, or distortion. The coloration and surface oxidation visible here are entirely typical for post-weld stainless before cleaning—and they indicate a solid shield without overheating or trailing gas loss. In terms of structure, this weld easily scores a 10 out of 10. With minimal finishing, it would present at a showroom or architectural grade level. This is what precision TIG welding should look like."
Difference Between Hand Finishing and Millennia
Our unique hand finishing creates a clean, refined appearance through a subtle, hand-applied texture that eliminates the need for a bottom grid.
Millenia™ is not a finish. It is a patented, manufacturer-applied surface texture unlike anything else on the market. Applied during manufacturing, this texture is engineered to diffuse light, disguise daily wear, and maintain a consistent appearance over time. It is approved by the NSA for food-contact use and becomes part of the stainless steel itself, not a coating or post-production treatment. The choice ultimately comes down to your preferred aesthetic and how you use your kitchen.

Hammered nickel sinks, created by plating nickel over hammered copper, often face durability issues. The nickel layer can wear off over time—sometimes quite quickly—compromising the sink's long-term appearance and making it a less reliable choice for those seeking lasting quality.
