About Dino Rachiele | Founder of Rachiele® Custom Sinks

Dino Rachiele is the founder of Rachiele® Custom Sinks and the driving force behind some of the most functional custom sink designs ever created. Long before workstation sinks became a category, Dino was studying how people actually work at the sink and applying decades of kitchen design experience to create better solutions. His work has always been guided by one principle: function comes first.
Dino’s background is not limited to sink manufacturing. Before founding Rachiele®, he spent more than two decades as a professional kitchen designer, working directly with homeowners and learning firsthand how poor sink design creates frustration in everyday life. That experience gave him something few in the industry have ever had - a deep understanding of how real people cook, clean, prep, and move through a kitchen.
In 1999, Dino founded Rachiele® Custom Sinks with a simple goal: build sinks the right way, without compromise. In 2010, after years of studying workflow, ergonomics, and food preparation habits, he introduced the modern workstation sink. While many others later followed, Dino’s designs were developed from practical kitchen knowledge, not from copying photographs or chasing trends.
Today, every Rachiele® sink is still shaped by Dino’s direct involvement. Clients work with him personally to design a sink around the way they cook, clean, and live. That may include choosing the ideal bowl size, drain placement, workstation configuration, metal, accessories, and details that most manufacturers never even discuss. For Dino, custom does not mean selecting from a menu of pre-made options. It means designing a sink with purpose.
Rachiele® Custom Sinks became known for more than innovation. The company earned its reputation by building heirloom-quality pieces in the United States using premium materials such as domestic 316L surgical-grade stainless steel, copper, brass, and bronze. Dino’s standards for craftsmanship, finish quality, and functionality remain central to every project.
What sets Dino apart is not simply that he founded the company or pioneered a category. It is that he still speaks directly with clients, still asks the right questions, and still approaches each sink as a problem solver. His goal has never been to sell the most accessories or chase the biggest order. It has always been to help people make better decisions and end up with something that genuinely improves the way they live. Learn a bit more about us.
Investing in a custom sink from Rachiele® is not simply a purchase. It is a design experience shaped by more than two decades of innovation and direct client collaboration. Every sink begins with a conversation about how the kitchen is actually used, and each design evolves from that understanding. These, and many other reasons, are why designers and homeowners all throughout the world look to Dino Rachiele to design their custom sinks.
With most other brands, the process is transactional. You are typically working with a commissioned salesperson selecting from a catalog of predetermined models. With Rachiele®, you work directly with the founder and designer. The result is not simply a sink chosen from a lineup, but one thoughtfully designed for the way you cook, clean, and live in your kitchen.
That difference is reflected in the company’s history of innovation, shown in the timeline below, where many of the ideas that shaped the modern workstation sink first appeared.
