From a Sheet of Metal to a Finished Custom Sink

We made a video showing some of the steps we take in the crafting of our custom sinks. Precision starts with the cutting of the metal with a state-of-the-art Fiber Laser. Other methods of cutting metal, such as a Turret Punch or Water Jet, are not as precise, or the cut surface requires a great deal of finishing prior to welding. Fiber lasers are fairly new on the market. The typical laser cannot cut copper, bronze, or brass. This laser cuts with fiber optics, and the piercing in the metal is only 50 microns wide - barely large enough to be seen by the naked eye. For obvious reasons, we have left out a significant amount of the processes; however, we hope you can get a feel for the amount of handwork and calculations that are required to produce these custom sinks.
