Our Custom Sinks: Crafted with Precision and Purpose

Every tiny detail of our sinks and accessories has been studied thoroughly, not just for aesthetics but for durability. Just recently, I was asked if I could change the perforations in our grid, sponge caddy, and strainer element to long diagonal cuts. Before we do anything new, we study it carefully. We designed the requested diagonal grid and ran it through complicated computerized tests. The first thing we noticed in the requested design was that the diagonal slits create a large, unsupported span through the center. The slits run at an angle, meaning there are fewer continuous metal sections in the middle to bear the load. This configuration weakens the central area significantly, as stress will concentrate around the longer unsupported regions, increasing susceptibility to bending or deflection when weight is applied in the center. The vertical slits in our design are shorter and evenly spaced, providing more continuous support across the middle. The design maintains stronger structural integrity because each uncut metal section acts as a support “rib,” distributing the load more effectively. This reduces the distance that any part of the center must span without support, making it much stronger in resisting bending.

Our cutting boards, for example, are not like any others that are available with workstation sinks. They are made with ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene. This is the only material that inspectors will approve as cutting surfaces in butcher shops and deli's. Why? It does not stain and is non-porous; it does not absorb liquids or harbor bacteria. Best yet, pop it in the dishwasher, and it comes out white and bright for years and years! How do we know that? 1/3rd of our customers are repeat customers, and they tell us, even after 10 years of use, the boards are still bright and white! In fact, we put a 3-year warranty on our butcher-grade warranty. If they come out of the dishwasher with a stain, we send a new one at no charge and the warranty begins again!

Little details make for huge conveniences! All of our butcher grade boards that hold accessories are routed down in our CNC machine so that they sit just below the top of the board. Why? It allows the board to sit adjacent to a cutting board and will allow the user to slide food right into the bowl without getting caught on the rim of the accessory!

As you may see, the trays are also sitting below the board for the same reason as noted above. You may have seen an accessory like this in stainless steel. We opted for polycarbonate instead of stainless, as it is possible to see what is in the tray without lifting the lid. These polycarbonate trays are dishwasher and freezer safe and are virtually unbreakable!
Please note that many of our online photos may show these accessories sitting on the board instead of being recessed. Those are older photos. Being such a small family operation that is constantly evolving with new upgrades, we have a tough time keeping up with ourselves with regard to photos. Also, many of the installed photos on our website are older - some have been installed over 23 years, and they still look awesome!

Our sponge caddy sits low for a reason. This accessory is often used to hold a soap dispenser. Who wants their soap dispenser to sit higher than the countertop?
We’re meticulous about every detail, no matter how small. These little details make for huge improvements. That is why our team is not stagnant. Every single person on our team is always looking to improve what we offer our customers. For us, that makes every day fun!
