  • What grade of stainless steel does Rachiele® use? Rachiele® uses 16-gauge 316L domestic surgical-grade stainless steel, which is more corrosion and scratch-resistant than the 304-grade steel used by most luxury brands.

  • Why does a Rachiele® sink not need a bottom grid? The high-density 316L steel and specific hand-finishing process create a surface durable enough to withstand daily use without the need for protective metal grids. The bottom of the sink can easily be brought back to the original look by simply using a Scotch-Brite sponge.

  • How does the Rachiele® workstation width compare to other brands? Rachiele® maintains a full 18-inch interior width throughout the bowl, whereas most competitors reduce width below the accessory ledge to as little as 16 inches.

  • How many workstation designs does Rachiele® offer? There are three workstation designs. Signature Series™, NexGen™ and Paragon™. You can see the differences by using this link. The Signature Series™ is the original workstation sink design, now adopted by most sink manufacturers.

  • What is the most significant difference between Rachiele Custom Sinks and all other brands? The most meaningful distinction between Rachiele® Custom Sinks and every other sink brand is simple: when you design a sink with us, you work directly with the owner, Dino Rachiele.

Dino brings a rare combination of experience to the process. He spent 22 years as a professional kitchen designer and has devoted the past 27 years to designing and building custom sinks. Throughout that time he has developed numerous patented designs and has worked directly with thousands of homeowners to refine how a sink should function in a real kitchen.

That depth of experience matters. The way someone cooks, cleans, prepares food, and uses their kitchen every day directly influences how a sink should be designed. Because of Dino’s background in kitchen design, those details are considered from the very beginning.

This is what the word "custom" truly means at Rachiele®. It is not a marketing phrase or a product variation chosen from a catalog. Every sink is personally designed through direct collaboration with Dino to match the way each client actually uses their kitchen.

The True Measure of Professional Grade

The data above makes one thing clear: a "luxury" price tag does not inherently guarantee professional performance. While most high-end brands focus on aesthetic marketing, Rachiele® Custom Sinks prioritize the physics of the kitchen. By utilizing domestic 316L surgical-grade stainless steel and our proprietary MicroWelded™ process, we eliminate the need for cumbersome bottom grids, offering a surface that is naturally more resistant to the pitting and etching that plague standard 304-grade sinks.

Furthermore, our design philosophy centers on ergonomic efficiency; where competitors narrow their bowls to accommodate simpler manufacturing, we maintain a full 18-inch interior width to support professional-grade sheet pans. From our lifetime transferable warranty to the proprietary Harmony dual-drain system, we don’t just build sinks; we engineer culinary workstations that outlast the kitchens they are installed in. Choosing Rachiele isn't just an upgrade; it’s the elimination of compromise.

If you're comfortable spending ten, twenty, or thirty thousand dollars on a range or refrigerator while settling for an off-the-shelf sink everyone else already has, Rachiele® likely isn’t for you. For those who appreciate true craftsmanship and the prestige of collaborating directly with the owner to design and handcraft a one-of-a-kind masterpiece - welcome to Rachiele®.
