In the realm of kitchen design, where efficiency meets elegance, the magic often lies in the details. One such detail, often overlooked but indispensable once experienced, is our multipurpose grid. More than just a protective layer for your sink, the Rachiele multipurpose grid unfolds as an invaluable tool that amplifies kitchen functionality. Let's delve into its myriad of uses that can revolutionize your culinary workspace.

**1. Pour your pasta or cooked vegetables into a colander without fear: Simply set the grid on the floor of the sink and pour away. No fear of backwash for two reasons. 1. Our sinks are generously sloped toward the drain. 2. Our grid top surface sits about 3/4" above the floor of the sink, allowing you to pour quickly and efficiently into your colander.

**2. Elevated Drying Rack: Bid adieu to bulky, space-consuming drying racks that clutter your counter. With our multipurpose grid, you get an elevated platform right inside your sink. Air flows freely, ensuring quick and efficient drying of dishes, pots, and pans. Our NexGen, Paragon, and some Signature Series workstation allow the grid to sit on the floor of the sink, so you can use it on the opposite side of the drain for drying pots and pans. Get yourself a dish rack and set it on the grid for drying dishes and utensils.

**3. Cooling Rack for Baked Delights: For those who find joy in baking, the grid emerges as an unexpected ally. Freshly baked cookies, muffins, or bread can be placed directly on the grid, allowing them to cool evenly without the risk of getting soggy bottoms.

**4. Rinsing and Draining Station: Washing fruits and vegetables. Place them on the grid, rinse, and let the water drain directly into the sink without any mess or water pooling.

**5. Preparation Platform: The grid serves as a holding area for the items to be cut on the adjacent cutting board, freeing up the cutting board to allow you to cut one item at a time.

**6. Containment for Slippery Utensils: How often have spoons and spatulas slipped into the sink while stirring soups or sauces? With the grid in place, these utensils have a secure spot, preventing them from disappearing into the depths of the sink or dirtying your countertop.

**7. Temperature Shield: For those moments when you need to place a hot pan directly off the stove, the grid acts as a thermal barrier, ensuring the sudden temperature change doesn't damage or discolor your sink.

**8. Keep your knife or cleaver dry and clean: The long slots on our multi-purpose grid were not accidentally designed. There was a great deal of attention paid to the length, width and amount of slots in the grids. When cutting just about anything, the hand without the knife is generally wet or dirty. The hand with the knife is generally clean and dry. What do you do when you need to set down the knife or cleaver to do something with that hand? What do you do now? With our design, most knives and cleavers will slip into a slot and stay perfectly erect, with the handle remaining clean and dry.

**9. No more hand drying your delicate stemware: Simply hand wash, rinse, and set your glasses on the grid.  No more towels on the counter. Just set them on the grid and let them dry.

**10. Raise the work surface: Scrubbing a difficult pot often takes some time and energy. Stooping over, even at an 8" depth bowl, is often uncomfortable. You have two options. Place the grid on the floor of the sink to raise it up about 3/4". Every little bit helps. I have even scrubbed a stubborn pan on the grid while on the ledge of the sink. Being close to counter height is most comfortable, and the grid can easily hold any pot or pan and whatever pressure you put on it while scrubbing.

**11. Flower arranging: Bring home fresh flowers and do everything on or over the grid while cutting stems on the cutting board or with scissors. You will never arrange flowers on a countertop again! No messy cleanup, no cleaning, rinsing, and drying the adjacent countertops anymore.

**12. Thawing food: Nothing will thaw food faster than placing the food on copper, bronze, or brass. Admit it... there have been several occasions where you forgot to take something out of the freezer. Well, these grids may just save the day! And by the way, you can order a copper grid with a stainless sink simply for this purpose. Check out this that demonstrates the super powers of copper when it comes to thawing food. I promise, you will be amazed!

The ice melted in 6 minutes on the copper and over 46 minutes on the stainless steel!

In Conclusion:

At Rachiele, we believe in maximizing every inch of your kitchen space without compromising on aesthetics. Our multipurpose grid epitomizes this ethos, offering a blend of functionality and design that's hard to match. Elevate your kitchen experience and discover the diverse wonders a simple grid can bring to your daily routines.
