Corner Kitchen Sinks - Sizes, Cabinet Requirements, Pros and Cons
Designed and handcrafted in the USA by the originator of the modern corner workstation sink.
The modern single-bowl corner kitchen sink was introduced by Dino Rachiele in 1999. Drawing on 22 years of experience as a professional kitchen designer studying how people actually work at a sink, he developed a single bowl design that maximizes usable bowl space while improving ergonomics in a corner installation. Transform underused kitchen corners with custom single-bowl corner kitchen sinks designed for efficiency, comfort, and long-term performance. Introduced in 1999, Rachiele® corner sinks evolved into the industry’s first true corner workstation sinks, redefining how corner kitchen space should function.

Each corner sink is engineered to improve reach, workflow, and usability, turning an overlooked corner into a fully functional workstation.
Rachiele® pioneered the first single-bowl corner sink and the first corner workstation sink. More than 26 years later, our designs continue to lead the industry. Whether your corner is diagonal, 90 degrees, or a custom angle, every sink is built specifically for your kitchen and how you cook.
Available in stainless steel, copper, brass, and bronze, Rachiele® custom corner kitchen sinks deliver a refined balance of workflow, durability, and timeless design.

A Word About What You Will Find Elsewhere
The corner sink market has been flooded with imported PVD-coated stainless steel sinks priced at a fraction of what a genuine handcrafted sink costs. Most of them copy designs that Rachiele® pioneered and patented.
Here is what you need to know. PVD coatings - the process used to create black, gold, and other colored finishes on stainless steel - will not survive the daily rigors of a working kitchen sink. The coating scratches, chips, and loses its appearance under normal use. No warranty changes that reality. The base material underneath is thin, imported stainless steel that bears no resemblance to 316L surgical-grade domestic steel.
We have been replacing double-bowl corner sinks for 27 years. We have seen what holds up and what does not. We will stake our reputation on this assessment.
If you are comparing options, the price difference between an imported PVD-coated sink and a Rachiele® custom sink reflects a fundamental difference in material, fabrication, and longevity - not a markup.
Meticulously handcrafted by our team of skilled artisans, Rachiele® corner sinks deliver a refined balance of workflow, durability, and timeless design. And with our industry-leading lifetime transferable warranty, you can trust that your corner sink will provide a lifetime of reliable performance.

Corner Kitchen Sink Solutions for Every Home
If you have a diagonal corner cabinet, we’ve designed a single-bowl corner sink that turns that space into a true workstation. It maximizes usable counter space and lets you stand comfortably at the cutting board, making prep easier and more enjoyable. Most diagonal corner cabinets measure 36" from the corner of the wall in both directions, and our standard diagonal corner sink is built to fit that layout perfectly.
We’ve designed replacement corner sinks for homeowners for more than 27 years, and the process is simple. We’ll walk you through everything from start to finish so the transition is smooth and stress-free. If you’d like, you can schedule a Zoom call with Dino to review options and sizing with zero sales pressure.

If your kitchen plan truly requires a corner sink, you’re in the exact situation that inspired me to reinvent the category. For years, homeowners were stuck with clunky double-bowl “butterfly” corner sinks that wasted space and made prep uncomfortable. I designed one of the first true single-bowl corner sinks to solve that problem, turning an awkward corner into a highly functional workstation. Today, our corner sinks blend efficiency, comfort, and clean design, all built to fit your exact cabinetry and workflow.
A corner sink cabinet should always be designed after the sink is finalized. Even a small dimensional compromise can transform a highly functional corner sink into a daily frustration. The cabinet is simply the support structure - the sink is the working tool used every day.
Because we do not advertise and intentionally maintain a relatively low online profile, many cabinet designers may not yet be familiar with the capabilities of a true custom single bowl corner workstation sink. It is important to make them aware that a fully custom solution is possible and to hold off on final cabinet dimensions until the sink design has been properly developed.

Diagonal corner sink: The bowl sits at a 45-degree angle across the corner, fitting into a diagonal corner cabinet. The front face of the sink faces the cook directly, making it the most ergonomic corner option. The standard diagonal corner cabinet measures 36 inches from the corner wall in both directions.
L-shaped corner sink: The bowl wraps along two walls in an L configuration, following the cabinet line rather than cutting across the corner at an angle. This design works in kitchens where the corner cabinet runs parallel to the walls rather than diagonally.
Absolutely. During your Zoom consultation, Dino personally reviews your cabinet dimensions and kitchen plans to confirm the sink will fit precisely before a single piece of metal is cut. Every measurement is verified in advance so there are no surprises during installation
In most cases yes - and this has been one of our specialties for 27 years. Replacing a double bowl corner sink without replacing your countertops is typically a one-day process. During a complimentary Zoom consultation, Dino walks you through exactly how it is done and helps you identify the right tradesperson in your area to make the precise countertop cuts required. In 27 years of replacement installations, 100% have been completed without issue.
Choosing the right size for a corner kitchen sink begins with a conversation, not a catalog. During a private Zoom consultation, Dino Rachiele reviews your exact cabinet dimensions, kitchen layout, and how you cook and move in the space. Most corner sink designs are built around standard corner cabinet configurations, but every drawing is created specifically for your kitchen. By the end of the consultation you will know exactly what size and configuration works best for your space and your lifestyle.
Yes. Corner workstation sinks are available in 316L surgical-grade stainless steel, copper, brass, and bronze. Each material has distinct characteristics worth understanding before making a decision.
Stainless steel is the most practical choice for most households. Our 316L surgical-grade steel offers superior corrosion resistance and is the easiest to maintain long term.
Copper develops a natural living patina over time and is naturally antimicrobial. It pairs beautifully with warm wood cabinetry and traditional kitchen styles.
Brass offers a warmer, richer tone than copper and develops a distinctive patina with golden and green undertones. It requires approximately 20% more investment than a comparable copper sink.
Bronze is our most exclusive material, with a deeper, richer hue than brass. It requires approximately 40% more investment than a comparable copper sink.
Material selection, patina preferences, and care requirements are all covered during your private design consultation with Dino.
The starting investment for a custom corner sink in 316L surgical-grade stainless steel is approximately $2,600. This reflects a standard diagonal or L-shaped single-bowl configuration without workstation ledges.
Corner sinks with NexGen™ workstation ledges, farmhouse apron fronts, or larger bowl dimensions will require a higher investment depending on the specific design.
Corner sinks in copper start at a comparable investment to stainless steel. Brass corner sinks typically require approximately 20% more than a comparable copper sink, and bronze approximately 40% more.
Because every sink is fully custom, the most accurate way to determine your investment is through a short private Zoom consultation where the sink is designed around your exact cabinet dimensions and how you use your kitchen.
Typically, we ask you when you might need your sink and we do our best to fit you into our schedule. We have shipped simple corner sinks as fast as 2-3 weeks from time of order.
