This metal multi-use grid is made from the same high-quality material as your sink. Can be placed on the workstation step/ledge or on the bottom of the sink (same orientation only with NexGen™ and Paragon™ designs). On top of a workstation step or ledge, this becomes a great place for rinsing off food or setting food that needs to be cut without crowding your cutting board! Great for thawing food (copper especially!) and letting water drain right into the sink. Also great for straining things; set the colander on top of the grid and pour in your pasta without water backing up into the food! Lastly, this grid is excellent for air-drying hand-washed items. Elongated holes allow for less surface tension than round holes and more air circulation overall, as well as providing a holding place for a knife or cleaver during food prep. Most importantly, this design has 30% more strength than a diagonal cut or round holes. The stainless version is also dishwasher safe!
