They look nothing like the imported Mexican and Indian copper sinks which have flooded the market. Our construction methods are quite different as are our patina methods. Our sinks are certified lead and mercury free. Our kitchen sink interiors are never lacquered nor waxed. Our sinks come with a lifetime warranty with NO disclaimers with regard to using abrasives, acidic products or harsh chemicals. Our copper sinks are produced for those with discriminating taste who wish to have a copper sink that is tailored to their needs. There is no other copper sink on the market offering a lifetime warranty. There is no other copper sink on the market with a guarantee that states "If you are not thrilled with the quality of our sink, we will buy it back, pay all shipping costs and... send you a check for $100 in consideration of your inconvenience. "

We began building sinks 10 years ago right here in Central Florida, well before all of the copycats and imports. If you are accustomed to the finer things in life, you will certainly appreciate our quality and customer service that is second to none. We understand that everyone can not afford our quality, but if you are looking for the finest copper sink on the market, you have just found it. This is our latest patina stencil inside the bowl of a sink. With regular use of our copper conditioner, this patina should last for several years. The back of a sink does not get the wear and tear of the bottom of a sink. Most importantly, if your design ever becomes dated, you will not have to live with it forever. Merely remove the patina with a copper cleaner and let the sink age naturally and you will have a new look!

This sink is a patented design which can be installed over an existing sink cabinet frame by merely removing the false drawer heads. The apron is shorter than the bowl. (We also own the patent on any apron sink where the bowl is deeper than the apron). The apron has our fire and ice patina, and the inside of the sink has a patina stencil.

The first several sinks are photos copper sinks that we aged. Our aging process is an accelerated process similar to what will occur naturally over time with your sink.  Our process does not affect the natural antibacterial properties of copper! Many other sinks offer "finishes" which totally eliminate the natural antibacterial properties of copper. Let us tell you more about why we feel our sinks are the only sinks on the market which you will be happy with long term! Give us a call at 1-800-881-9044

What you are seeing in these photos is the natural coloration of copper when it ages during normal use in a home.

Copper can be a nightmare to care for OR it can be maintenance free.  Ask us why only our sinks are maintenance free!

We have the only self healing copper sink interior in the industry. Ask us about it.

Many of you have asked what a copper sink looks like after several years of use. This is a picture of the main  sink in my kitchen. I have used this sink for over 7 years now and it keeps getting more beautiful every day. There has been virtually no maintenance other than using a sponge and soap to clean it and occasionally using a Scotch Brite pad to lighten a dark spot or two caused by leaving a pot in the sink overnight. The sink was built 12" deep, however the left side is 9" deep, a much better working height. The left side is a removable false bottom with drain holes. When removed, we have a huge sink for putting the outdoor grill inside for cleaning as well as the large pots, etc. I would not recommend a 12" deep sink. If I could do it over again, I would use an 8" deep sink.

I took two photos of the inside of my main sink, (left) about 6 months apart. The lower photo was taken on May 19th, 2009. The sink is well over 7 years old now. As you can see, the interior mottling changes. In fact, the patters on the inside of the sink change from week to week. The general overall look stays about the same. The slight overall color difference you see in the photo is due to the photography. Click on the images to see close-up views.  The photos to the right are current photos of my kitchen after a recent facelift.

We now offer fitted cutting boards for our undermount sinks. They are available in maple, cherry, or walnut. The woods can be mixed too, as shown in the photo on the left. The pictured cutting board is a mixture of maple and walnut. We are having these made by Dutch Mills Cabinetry of Goshen, Indiana - one of the finest cabinet makers in the industry.

Our newest finish on an apron front - Layered weathering using a stencil. This unique finish was developed by Joycelyn over the past several weeks. There are multiple layers of natural patina topped by a new topcoat that looks fantastic. We have the ability to use many different stencil designs. Just let us know your ideas and we will do our best to find what you are looking for. In every case, we will photograph the sink before we topcoat it so you can let us know if you like what you see!

Take a look at this rustic patina. It is just one of the many new finishes we are providing. We will send you an email photo of your sink as it is being finished if you would like. This way you can see the sink as it is going through the process and tell us if you would like more color, etc. Our sinks are custom and you can be as involved as you like!

Copper undermount sink with right rear drain. Rear corner drains just make sense. Have you ever placed a dish, pot or tray inside a sink and found the sink filling up with water because you were covering up the drain? Not with a Rachiele sink! The use of a center drain in a sink goes back to prehistoric times when we did not have the capability of making a vessel drain without putting the drain in the center. The only reason for center drains or rear center drains is to eliminate additional inventory. If wholesalers had to stock right and left rear drains, inventory would double. If you are designing a custom kitchen, do your self a favor and include a custom sink. The sink is the most used appliance in your kitchen.

The subtle beauty of our "Fire and Ice" finish on the apron of a copper sink speaks to the magic of what copper can offer in terms of pleasing the eye. Traditionally, this has been the most difficult of our finishes, and might we add - one of our most popular as well.

Our most popular sink is the 30" wide, 20" front to back, 9" deep copper apron front sink with a right rear drain. We keep these in inventory and a very special price. The sink shown is weathered, however we have optional finishes available for the apron.  Why are our apron front sinks different? First, they are designed to fit cabinetry properly. Dino Rachiele was a nationally accredited kitchen designer for over 20 years and designed the sinks to fit cabinetry, not merely as a stand alone sink. Too often the apron portion of the sink is too thick, making the user reach too far to work in the sink. Our apron is only 1 1/2" thick. A thicker apron is defeating the ergonomic purpose of an apron front sink. Secondly, our sinks are square and true and will be the measurements you order. Lastly, we use cold rolled copper, which is much sturdier than annealed or softer forms of copper. This will insure your sink will withstand the rigors of use over time, especially with a garbage disposer. Front view of a 30" copper apron front sink - weathered patina finished on  8-1-08 by Joycelyn "Juice" Boudreaux, the artist who applies the patina and other finishes in and on our sinks. We take great care in applying a real natural patina on your sink. We do not apply a faux finish inside your sink which will never last. Our self healing weathered patina will  be easy to maintain and most importantly, we do not inhibit the natural antibacterial properties of the copper by adding a wax or lacquer to the interior of our sinks.

Did you think you can't have an apron front sink because you have stock cabinets or you have an existing sink cabinet that will not fit an apron front sink. Give our experts a call. Dino has designed a sink which will fit just about any stock cabinet without doing a great deal of modification to the cabinet. If you are remodeling and were told you could not have an apron front sink, please give us a call. We have the only answer. Patent US D484,856 S.

The first corner copper apron sink that makes sense! Just when you thought it was impossible to have an apron sink in the corner of your kitchen... the answer!  This sink featured a right rear drain and our natural weathered self-healing patina. This type of corner apron front sink is designed for kitchens with a diagonal corner sink base. To our knowledge, we are the only manufacturer offering such a design.

Radius copper apron front sink featuring "Fire and Ice" finish on apron and a weathered interior. Radius front apron sinks are wonderful to look at, but do not have the ergonomic advantages of a straight front apron sink. Sometimes, you just have to make a value judgment.

Copper apron front sink installation in client's home. Sink features a right rear drain, a weathered patina and a Herbeau Faucet. One of the significant differences in our apron front sinks is the ability to customize and offer a depth that is suitable for the user. For example, most apron front sinks are undermounted and the true depth of the sink is generally an inch and a quarter deeper due to the thickness of the countertop. If you order a 10" deep sink, the sink is effectively 11 1/4" deep. If you are taller than 6' or shorter than 5'4, a 10" deep sink is too deep. Remember, you will have the luxury of scrubbing pots, pans and platters on the bottom of the sink without a drain in the way. Picture yourself bending over, working at the bottom of an 11 1/2" deep sink before you consider a 10" deep apron sink.

Dino Rachiele took his vast knowledge of kitchen design and designed the only apron front sink that will fit in standard cabinetry. The patented design allowed us to  use an existing stock sink cabinet. We merely removed the false drawer heads, slipped the apron over the face frame of the cabinet and...an apron front sink is installed. The one inch channel behind the apron allows the sink to "saddle" over the face frame. The sink can be much deeper than the apron. In this case, the apron is 7" tall and the sink is 9" deep.

Small copper undermount sink designed for an HGTV showcase home. If you click on the photo you will see a larger image showing a custom designed copper countertop with an artist applied finish. Most every sink we make is custom tailored to the height, handedness and specifications of the user. Manufacturing in the USA, just a few miles from our office and warehouse, gives us the ability to oversee the manufacturing process as well as inspect each sink before it is shipped. We are very picky about quality. in fact, in the 10 years we have been manufacturing sinks, we have never had to send a factory representative to a customer's home to deal with a problem!

The look is rustic, and we followed suit with a rustic patina on the sink. This sink was ordered for the Dutch Mills Factory Showroom in Goshen, Indiana. If you are looking for a custom finish on the apron of your sink, just ask. Our artist finishes the sinks in our warehouse and we will be glad to send photos of your project prior to shipping for approval. That option gives you the ability to tell us if you would like the finish darker, more rustic, etc. prior to shipping. We want you to be thrilled when you receive your sink.

Dutch Mills Cabinetry is considered one of the finest custom cabinet manufacturers in the USA. They are very particular about every detail of the construction of their cabinets. When they remodeled their factory showroom, they were offered free sinks for their displays, but opted to pay for a Rachiele sink as they felt only our sink would convey the quality they felt appropriate to be integrated into their cabinetry.

A Rachiele sink is unmistakable. It does not look at all like an imported sink because we manufacture them right here in Florida. The only similarity to an imported sink is the fact that we use similar material. Virtually everything else is different!

No other company offers a transferable lifetime warranty and a satisfaction guarantee. Think about this... Would you really spend your hard earned money on a sink (with no moving parts) that did not have a lifetime warranty?

The request... rustic patina. This sink graces a showroom in Clayton, Georgia by the name of The Heritage Home Collection. The Heritage Home Collection is the most exclusive showroom in their region. They insist on the best of the best. They cater to the rich and famous, such as professional baseball players, owners of fortune 500 companies and movie stars living in Highlands, North Carolina and Atlanta. The only copper sink they will represent is Rachiele.

Radius apron front sink was custom made to fit the fine cabinetry of Quality Custom Cabinetry for the 2005 Kitchen and Bath Show in Las Vegas. Quality Custom Cabinetry could have selected many other sinks for their display. In fact, most every other manufacturer would have offered their sinks at no charge just to have their product in the National Kitchen and Bath show. Quality Custom Cabinetry by passed their free options and paid for a Rachiele sink because they wanted to show a quality that was representative of the fine quality craftsmanship of their cabinetry.

We build custom replacement sinks too! If you have a sink cutout and want us to make a sink to fit your existing cut out, no problem! This copper sink was built to fit a Kohler sink (far left) which was undermounted. The client went from three basically useless sinks to one very useful sink!

29
ARE THEY KIDDING???  We just have to show you the workmanship of one of our competitors. They do not show "detail" photos on their web site. Take a look at what soldered corners look like. Our corners are always welded with copper. PLEASE DO NOT CONFUSE THIS WITH OUR SINKS!
Don't forget a copper drain and strainer assembly, or a copper disposal flange and strainer/stopper. We recommend a solid copper unit which has no coating to chip, nor a finish to wear off. These copper drains will eventually weather and blend in with your sink. Apposed to all others on the market, these drains actually kill bacteria. Copper naturally kills bacteria - however only in a raw state like ours. See all of the copper drains.

First, let me dispel a myth! We have had several customers call to inquire about the care of copper sinks. Some have been told by their friends, designers, and plumbers that copper is difficult to care for. There is some truth to that myth.  If you are looking to keep your sink looking like a new shiny penny, you are in for some effort. If you would like the sink to age naturally to a beautiful variety of darker copper colors, you are in for a treat. As far as your sink turning green - very unlikely. We have 4 copper sinks and a totally copper shower in our home. No green!!!  If you would like to see a photo of a three year old sink (mine) which has not been polished in two years, click here.

This is a copper radius front apron console sink.  The sink is 60" wide and is designed to be mounted on the wall with the use of a specially designed mounting bracket. This sink has our Fire and Ice Finish.

Here are photos of our copper apron front farm sink with all radius interiors.  This option costs a bit more, but it is a truly beautiful addition to our already stunning copper sinks.  Our radius corners are silky smooth, unlike some rough finishing we've seen.  Click on the photos below to see close-ups of our radius corners.

This is our master bath vanity area. We have two copper vessel sinks. Just around the corner is a shower made entirely of copper, including the ceiling and crown molding. We have lived in the house 6 years, and have never had to clean the shower walls nor ceiling. Totally maintenance free! The shower, to the right, can only be fabricated for our local dealers. It is too difficult to ship the copper sheets. You may click on the images on this page for a larger view.
This beautiful kitchen featured our copper curved apron front sink, as well as our wrought iron countertop supports.
coppershowsink.jpg (78475 bytes) We recently introduced our copper "Smart Sink" at the National Kitchen and Bath Show. The "Smart Sink" has a full backsplash built into the sink so wet hands drip into the sink when turning off the water. This type of sink makes so much sense. It also will lower the cost of your granite, as granite is stopped on either side of the sink. This could potentially save you $100 to $200.

33

Introducing the "Ultimate Comfort Sink" This is truly the ultimate sink for comfort where there are two or more people using a sink and one is much taller than the other.

My personal situation was the catalyst in the design. I am 5' 9" and my wife is 5' 4". We have two large sinks in our kitchen. I made one 10" deep and the other 12" deep The 12" deep sink is not comfortable for my wife. That sink happens to be the one we use the most. So... I had to come up with a solution! My solution solved several problems. I put a false bottom on the left side of the sink. It measures about 20" wide. I designed it to have randomly placed holes for drainage. It sits about 3" higher than the bottom of the sink. Now my wife, Maria, can use the sink comfortably.

The false bottom is removable so you can have a flat bottom when cleaning larger items such as cookie sheets, etc.  It also serves as terrific set-off space. Dishes can be stacked after they are scraped and rinsed.

By the way, this same sink is pictured below in various stages of aging. The sink is now just about 2 years old and has only been cleaned twice with copper cleaner. That was done for two photo shoots.

A World's First... They said it couldn't be done... Copper and Stainless fusion!  This is a photo of an actual fusion of copper and stainless.

This sink was ordered for a showing on HGTV's "My Big Amazing Renovation". It features our Eclipse sink (Copper apron and stainless interior) with our Paprika finish on the apron.

36
Our eclipse sink features the ability to blend copper and stainless steel. This huge sink was built with an integral copper back splash. The sink was made of stainless, the apron and back were made of copper. This requires a considerable amount of skill. We purposefully make all of our photos "clickable" to very large images. This way you can better see the quality of our sinks. A small view may hide significant "issues".

37
How is this for a unique application? The drain was put in the rear for use in a potting shed. This configuration leaves virtually all of the sink clear as a work surface. Patent US D497-201

38
We specialize in custom! If you have an unusual requirement, we can generally make a perfect sink for you. This sink was designed for a client with an unusual angle situation in the kitchen sink area. The process was simple. They gave us dimensions, we returned a drawing for approval, the sink was ordered and delivered in about 4 weeks. By the way, is this not a brilliant idea for a corner?

39
When a copper sink is freshly made, it has a pinkish cast to it. Generally, a few days later, it starts to become more orange and then it begins to become browner. The photo on the right is of a newly manufactured copper apron front sink with a backsplash attached. Patent granted on design. We have a patent on any apron front sink which has a shorter apron than the bowl depth. Competitors be advised.

40
We patented this design specifically for those in a wheelchair. The faucet is located in the front corner for easy access, and the drain is in the rear corner out of the way of the users legs.

Another view of the above sink taken about 9 months later after the sink has aged and lost the "pink" coloration. . Note the faucet... It is a Harrington Brassworks wall mounted faucet with solid metal side spray. The finish is satin nickel. It looks gorgeous with the copper. There are stainless steel appliances in the kitchen that pick up on the satin nickel coloration. (The tile on the wall is a faux tile, painted on the drywall) The floor is cork.

One more view, a year later...

42A
This is the interior of the above sink after 7 years of use. The interior is still beautiful. The drain, however, has lost all of the plating. The drain was manufactured by Mountain Plumbing. Sadly, at that time, the only option was to use a plated drain. We how offer the only solid copper disposal flange and drain in the industry.

This sink is a polished copper apron front farm sink. There is no distressing. You can polish this sink regularly, or let it age naturally.  We  highly recommend letting the sink age naturally. You will find there is virtually no maintenance.  I know of no other product with such a low degree of care.

This is a custom finish with a true heavy patina. Notice the copper turned the greenish blue we all associate with copper. This was achieved by forcing the copper to age with chemicals and heat. We then top coated the front to protect it.

53
This is another first for Custom Sinks by Rachiele. We manufactured the first double bowl copper farm sink in the industry. I designed this one for General Electric's year 2000 Monogram Series literature. They asked us to build a double bowl copper farm sink for them.  The right one is slightly smaller, still large enough to work in. The left bowl is 10" deep and the right one is 8" deep. The sink is a hammered finish, and we heavily hammered this one. It is absolutely beautiful.

These two pictures are of the same sink we built for G.E. 4 months later. It was used during the photo shoot and returned to us in a very aged and beautiful condition. If you would like to see what a copper sink would look like if it were not polished regularly, click on the 2 photos directly to the left. The bottom photo is of the interior of one of the bowls to show the beautiful colors. There are oranges, purples, greens, copper, red, blue and just about every color imaginable.

One of the most fun aspects of owning a copper sink is the daily change in appearance. The sink starts out looking like fresh new pinkish copper. It quickly becomes a warmer orange color. With time, you may see some iridescent colors like the one on the left. Copper will age naturally, just like a penny. It will get darker brown with time. We think they get prettier with age. The best part of owning a copper sink is your ability to start the process over and over again. Just clean the sink with Bar Keepers Friend and you begin the process all over. Bar Keepers Friend will refresh the darkest finish in just minutes with little effort at all. It is truly an amazing product. We use it exclusively here and at home.

copperfarmwithback.jpg (37568 bytes) Here we are building the sink for our new kitchen. This one has a full back splash with holes for the installation of the wall mounted faucet.  See a video of a sink we made and donated for The Sultana Schooner Project, a 1765's replica, that is used as an educational tool for over 8,000 students per year. handhammering.jpg (27046 bytes) Here is one of our sinks in the factory being hand hammered.  Often so-called hand hammered sinks look contrived as the distressing is done by machine. Ours are truly hand- built and hand-distressed. Call us at 1-888-880-9469 to place your order or to ask further questions. These sinks make a great bar sink, prep. sink or even a lavatory sink. Remember, we will make virtually any size and shape. We will also build double bowl and triple bowl sinks. Just call one of our custom sink designers and design your own custom sink with their assistance. 1-888-880-9469

Read about the hassle you may have to go through with some imported copper sinks.

This is what you have to do if you are unhappy with at least two imported company's sinks:
"Once we receive the product, we will refund your payment minus all shipping costs and any other associated costs, including import duties for returning the product back to Mexico."      Any other associated costs? Hmmm, looks like you might spend more sending the sink back than you paid for it in the first place.

Look at this statement made by an imported sink company:    "If you have hard water in your area, we recommend you keep your sink dry by wiping it down periodically with a soft cloth."          Keep your sink dry?? You have to be kidding right?

Another statement by an imported sink company: "Do not use corrosives, such as chlorine or concentrated vinegar, abrasive cleaners, or harsh chemicals on the copper sinks. These substances may damage the finish of the copper sinks." Rachiele sinks do not have a "finish" to damage. We do not have any disclaimers. Go ahead and use your Rachiele copper sink the way a kitchen sink was meant to be used. You can actually wet the sink without drying it! You can use common household products, such as vinegar and Clorox (chlorine) in your sink if you like.
