Custom 316L Stainless Steel Sinks
Made in the USA

Handcrafted in Apopka, Florida from domestic 316L surgical-grade stainless steel, with MicroWelded™ corners micro-polished to aerospace standards. Designed around your kitchen, your body, and the way you actually cook.

Rachiele® custom 316L stainless steel workstation sink with Waterstone pull-down faucet installed in a Park Avenue Manhattan penthouse featuring Officine Gullo cabinetry and alabaster quartzite countertops

At Rachiele®, we do not follow the standard. We set it.

Every sink we build begins with domestic 316L surgical-grade stainless steel - the same material trusted in surgical instruments and marine environments - and ends with a product designed specifically around your kitchen, your cabinet dimensions, your body, and the way you actually cook and clean.

There is no stock sizing. No production line. No compromises borrowed from a mass-market catalog.

Every Rachiele® stainless steel sink is handcrafted by four experienced artisans in Apopka, Florida. Over 90% of the fabrication time is spent working by hand. Each artisan signs the bottom of every sink they help build. The owner writes a personal thank-you note and signs every sink as well.

The difference between a Rachiele® sink and everything else on the market is not cosmetic. It is structural, material, and permanent.

Frequently Asked Questions About Custom 316L Stainless Steel Sinks

Q: What is the difference between 304, 316, and 316L stainless steel in a kitchen sink?

304 is the most common grade used in kitchen sinks, including many products marketed as premium. 316 adds molybdenum, improving corrosion resistance - and some competitors use this grade while calling it premium. 316L goes further with lower carbon content, providing superior weld integrity at every precision joint and the highest corrosion resistance available. It is the same grade used in surgical instruments and marine environments. Rachiele® uses exclusively domestic 316L surgical-grade stainless steel - the only grade that meets the standard our MicroWelded™ corners demand.

Q: What makes a custom stainless steel sink better than a standard size sink?

A standard sink is built to fit a cabinet opening. A Rachiele® sink is designed around your specific cabinet dimensions, your body ergonomics, your drain placement, and how you actually cook and clean. The difference is not cosmetic. It is functional and permanent.

Q: What are MicroWelded™ corners and why do they matter?

Zero-radius corners require welding - and the quality of that weld is everything. Many zero-radius sinks on the market have visible seam lines, inconsistent finishing, or welds that are ground down rather than precision-finished. Rachiele® MicroWelded™ corners are fusion-welded and micro-polished to aerospace standards - so refined that when visitors examine our Harmony™ sink in our showroom, a sink with dozens of welds throughout, they only notice four. The invisible ones are held to the exact same standard. That is the difference between a weld that is merely functional and one that is genuinely flawless.

Q: Are Rachiele® stainless steel sinks made in the United States?

Yes. Every Rachiele® sink is handcrafted in Apopka, Florida by four experienced artisans. Over 90% of fabrication time is spent working by hand. Each artisan signs the bottom of every sink they help build.

Q: What warranty comes with a Rachiele® stainless steel sink?

Every Rachiele® sink and metal accessory carries a lifetime transferable warranty - no paperwork required. If you are not completely thrilled with your sink upon receipt, we will refund your investment in full, cover return shipping, and send you a check for $500 in recognition of the inconvenience.

Q: How long does it take to receive a custom Rachiele® sink?

Every sink is made to order. Lead times vary based on production scheduling and design complexity. Your exact timeline is confirmed during your private consultation with Dino Rachiele.

Q: Can I request a specific depth, width, or drain placement?

Yes - completely. Every dimension is designed around your specific kitchen and confirmed during your private Zoom consultation before a single measurement is cut. You receive detailed drawings for review and may request revisions or cancel entirely for a full refund before final approval.

What Aerospace Professionals See When They Look at Our Welding

It started with a phone call. A gentleman said he worked at NASA and wanted to know how we were doing our welding. Assuming it was a competitor fishing for information, I kept my answers deliberately vague. When he asked if we were using a laser to weld, I said no. He then asked if two of their welders could come see our work in person.

I said yes - as long as they could show they actually worked for NASA.

They arrived wearing their badges.

After examining our MicroWelding™ process and micro-polishing work up close, one of them asked if we would sell them one of our welders. They had units on back order due to the Covid chip shortage and confirmed these were the exact machines NASA uses. We declined to sell. One of them ordered a custom Rachiele® sink before he left. A second pair of NASA welders visited separately. Same reaction. Another sink ordered.

A few months later, a Blue Origin executive and his wife walked into our showroom on a Saturday. We spent three and a half hours together and never got around to talking about their sink. I took them through the artisan shop. He stopped at one of our sinks and studied the exterior welds - the parts most people never notice. He told me he had never seen welding like ours outside of his industry.

Near the end of that visit he asked what I was doing the next day. He invited me to tour Blue Origin's facility. Factory tours there are not open to the public. They are reserved for dignitaries, heads of state, and close family.

He invited me anyway.

When we shared this story on Facebook, a Blue Origin welder named Scott commented publicly: "I am one of the welders at Blue. That is a great story. God blessings to you and your staff."

These are not claims we make about ourselves. They are observations made by people who build rockets for a living.

MicroWelded zero-radius corner on a Rachiele custom 316L stainless steel kitchen sink - micro-polished to aerospace standards

MicroWelded™ and Micro-Polished Zero-Radius 316L Stainless Steel Sink Corners

MicroWelding™ is a fabrication process developed exclusively by Rachiele®. Every interior corner is fusion-welded and micro-polished to aerospace standards, creating a true zero-radius corner with no visible seam, no crevice, and no edge where debris can settle.

The result is a corner that stays clean on its own. No scrubbing. No buildup. No maintenance beyond normal daily rinsing.

We have read countless complaints on forums about zero-radius sink corners being difficult to clean. Our customers tell us their experience is exactly the opposite.

Other zero-radius sinks exist. Some have visible seam lines. Some have welds that are ground down rather than precision-finished. The difference is not visible in a photograph. It is felt every day in a working kitchen.

MicroWelding™ and micro-polishing take the better part of a full day per sink to complete. It cannot be rushed. It cannot be replicated on a production schedule. And it is the reason aerospace welders stop at our sinks and ask questions.

The Original Workstation Sink - Introduced by Rachiele® in 2010

Rachiele® introduced the workstation sink concept in 2010 - the first of its kind in the world. While other workstation sinks arrive with collections of 10 to 15 single-purpose accessories, we take a different approach entirely. Our multi-use grid alone serves between 5 and 7 completely different functions. Every accessory we offer is designed around real cooking, not a marketing photo. Fewer pieces. More capability. Nothing in the sink that does not earn its place.

Thoughtful Design, Exceptional Materials, and a Sink Built Around Your Family

We zoomed in on a customer-submitted photo after years of daily use. What caught our eye was the pristine condition of the MicroWelded vertical corner (upper left)—still clean, bright, and smooth.

The image hasn’t been retouched. That flawless weld you see is a testament to the precision of our MicroWelding process. The surface is so refined that debris and buildup struggle to adhere—something you can’t achieve with mass-produced or hand-tacked seams.

When we say our welds stand the test of time, we mean it—and now you can see it.

  • Chef preparing meatballs in a kitchen with a stainless steel sink, Rachiele.

The image above shows one of our workstation sinks in action. Making meatballs - and even frying them on the sink! Yes, the electric frying pan is sitting on one of our multi-use grids.
Each Rachiele® sink is intelligently designed to support a half-sheet or steam oven pan directly on the ledge, giving you extra counterspace exactly where you need it—right at the sink.
Prep Tip: Grill outdoors, bring your meat in on a half-sheet pan, slice it on the cutting board, and let the sink do the rest. It's functional luxury at its finest.

“You Have No Idea Until You Use It”
Remember when the kitchen was the center of everything? When meals brought everyone together, and conversation flowed as easily as the pasta sauce? That’s what we design for. A Rachiele® sink isn’t just functional—it becomes the heartbeat of your home. Custom-built to fit your life, it quietly restores the rhythm of togetherness we all grew up with… and wish we had more of today.

  • Stainless steel sinks with visible text: Dealing with scratches? Rachiele 3.0

A sink should not require mats or grids to hide inferior materials. These accessories trap moisture and bacteria, creating unsanitary environments. Our proprietary, hand-applied finish on 316L surgical stainless steel is engineered to disguise wear and resist scratching naturally. This creates a seamless, hygienic surface that performs beautifully without the need for gimmicks or extra maintenance.

Identifying Design Failures and Sanitary Risks in Conventional Luxury Sinks

Many high-end brands use design shortcuts that trap water and bacteria along caulk lines. We eliminate these common failure points, specifically the use of the sink flange as an accessory step, to maximize long-term hygiene and usability. True luxury is defined by intentional engineering and enduring materials rather than flashy marketing or low-quality accessories that lose value quickly.

  • Stainless steel kitchen sink with built-in accessories, Rachiele design.

"My previous sink was marketed as a top tier luxury workstation sink, yet it arrived with an assortment of lightweight, single purpose accessories that proved to be of little practical use," a client shared with me during a recent Zoom call.

Many competitor accessories only look good for a year or less. Their sinks are designed to shine in marketing photos and expensive videos—not in your kitchen. And good luck finding
a warranty on any of their accessories.

We build for those who find joy in cooking, who savor the process, and who see the kitchen as a place of connection—more like an old-fashioned family gathering than just a spot to serve food.  Our accessories are few, multi-functional, and built to last. Our metal accessories have a lifetime transferable warranty. Our butcher grade cutting boards have a 3 year warranty - including our white boards. If they stain, we replace at no charge. You will likely not find any company with a warranty on their accessories!

No cheap plastics. No clutter. Just purposeful design.
    Accessories with real warranties.

If cafeteria-style serving is your style, we respect that—it works for some. But at Rachiele®, we design for a different kind of kitchen experience. We’re not an “everybody” sink company.

Our accessories aren’t dreamed up in a boardroom—they’re born from real kitchen experiences, shaped by real cooks and professional chefs. Designed by Dino, an avid home chef, and inspired by feedback from thousands of customers over 26 years. Many of our best ideas came directly from the people who use our sinks every day.

Most competitor accessories are designed for marketing photos rather than long-term use in a busy kitchen. Our custom metal accessories are built to last and include a lifetime transferable warranty. We also provide a three-year warranty on our butcher-grade cutting boards, including our white boards, which we replace at no charge if they stain. By focusing on multi-functional design instead of cheap materials, we ensure your tools remain as durable as your sink.

The new Culinary Dock™—shown above—is a brilliant innovation sparked by a customer’s idea.
We listen. We respond. And when a great idea emerges, we bring it to life.  No marketing team. No advertising budget. Just steady evolution—rooted in purpose, driven by what makes sense.

The photo above showcases our striking Millennia™ texture—created with a 40-ton press to deliver both visual brilliance and practical performance. The finely embossed pattern diffuses reflections, camouflages water spots and scratches, and adds an eye-catching dimension to the stainless steel surface.

Beyond aesthetics, Millennia™ stainless steel is NSF Certified—an assurance of quality, cleanliness, and food-safe durability. This level of certification is required in commercial kitchens, medical environments, and any setting where hygiene is non-negotiable.
Perfect for clients who want bold style without compromising on performance or sanitation.

The Difference Between Hand Finished and Millennia Stainless Steel

Our unique hand finishing creates a clean, refined appearance through a subtle, hand-applied texture that eliminates the need for a bottom grid.

Millenia™ is not a finish. It is a patented, manufacturer-applied surface texture unlike anything else on the market. Applied during manufacturing, this texture is engineered to diffuse light, disguise daily wear, and maintain a consistent appearance over time. It is approved by the NSF for food-contact use and becomes part of the stainless steel itself, not a coating or post-production treatment. The choice ultimately comes down to your preferred aesthetic and how you use your kitchen.

  •  Hammered nickel sinks, created by plating nickel over hammered copper, often face durability issues. The nickel layer can wear off over time—sometimes quite quickly—compromising the sink's long-term appearance and making it a less reliable choice for those seeking lasting quality.
