So, you're planning a kitchen renovation or perhaps building your dream home from scratch. While there are many aspects to consider, one element that should never be overlooked is your kitchen sink. You might think a sink is just a sink, but we're here to tell you otherwise. This blog post will introduce you to the world of Rachiele Workstation Sinks and explain why they are an essential feature for any modern kitchen.
What Sets Rachiele Apart?
As the only full custom sink manufacturer in the U.S., Rachiele has a reputation for creating some of the finest sinks on the market. Our sinks are crafted from domestic 316L Surgical grade stainless steel, pure domestic copper, bronze and brass. We were the pioneers of the workstation sink, constantly evolving its design to be the epitome of functionality and efficiency. We employ no sales staff. You will speak directly with me, Dino Rachiele. Together, we will design a custom sink based on your specific needs. Every family dynamic is different, hence we craft a design that is unique to you.
The Anatomy of a Workstation Sink
A Rachiele Workstation Sink is not just any sink; it's a culinary dashboard. Imagine a place where everything has its spot—cutting boards, colanders, and drying racks all integrated into a seamless design. With built-in tracks, these accessories can slide effortlessly, making food preparation and cleanup a breeze. All workstation sinks are not alike. Most have a step system, where the bowl gets narrower below the step(s). That is not the case with our best selling workstation designs. Our sinks are handcrafted by a small group of artisans who take a great deal of pride in their work. Each sink is signed by the artisans that handcraft the sink. I believe a custom sink offers tremendous value over mass produced sinks - and even sink companies that will do some custom work. With those companies, you will be speaking with a salesperson. I dare say there are none with the 20 year experience that I have as a kitchen designer and the 24 year experience I have as a sink designer. The bottom line question is this... Why is this important? The answer is simple. There are two values that we offer. 1. Time. Time is a valuable commodity. Nobody can "make" time. I can assure you that I can save you time, and more time than any other sink company. Most sink companies design their sinks in two ways. They copy our designs or they design sinks based on how well they think they will market well. 2. The fun factor. My secondary goal is to make your sink fun to use. That may sound a bit unattainable. Well, here are a few testimonials that say otherwise. This is just one of them: " We have a copper next gen 36” sink and a satin nickel waterstone faucet. Never thought I would love doing dishes but this combo makes it fun! Excellent communication and expertise from everyone we spoke to there. Getting ready to work with them again on another project…" Karen Meir (5 star review on google)
Cost Vs. Value - Testimonials
While it's tempting to save a few dollars upfront, opting for a lower-quality sink is a decision you may soon regret. The value that a Rachiele Workstation Sink brings to your day-to-day life and the long-lasting quality more than justifies the initial investment. Not only that, but it adds value to your home. Just take a look at two, of many, similar testimonials on google: "I'm about to buy my second sink from Rachiele. You won't find a better sink in terms of design, materials and workmanship. I enjoyed the sink in this picture for just a couple of years before I had to move to another city for work. I can't wait to get my current kitchen squared away with a new Rachiele copper sink. These are works of art that function at the highest level and without a doubt I saw a return on investment the first time around! Kipper Overstreet "When I retired and we realized we needed to sell our home and move, the sink shifted roles, from daily workhorse to key selling point for the house. Steps from the front door, it was the eye-catching heart of a beautiful, functional kitchen. Every realtor who came through when we were present commented on not only the beauty, but the quality of the sink. In fact, I’m pretty sure that our sink was a key element in selling our house. Kathryn McMichael
More from Kathryn McMichael: Moving is wrenching. Walking around the home after it sold, I consoled myself that when we rebuilt (on a smaller scale, in a more retirement-income-friendly state) I would buy another Rachiele sink. As we packed for the move, I made sure to bring along my sink’s “extras”—the grate, sponge caddy and walnut cutting board. In the rental we are currently living in, they are part of a shrine of sorts to my past-and-future farmhouse sink. And every (and I do mean EVERY) day, I miss my Rachiele farmhouse sink. My back hurts again when I do dishes; there is not enough room for my pans; the drain is a black hole for everything from silverware to cat food cans."
There is a happy ending to Kathryn's story. She realized she could have us build her a retrofit sink to replace the one in her new home!
" I have missed my sink so much that when I found myself on the Rachiele website earlier this week and discovered that I could order a replacement Signature sink (the new model looks really awesome too, but I loved and really miss MY sink), I bought it. Even though we won’t be building til next spring, even though I don’t really have a place to store a replacement sink in our interim rental, even though I trust that Dino’s sinks would still be there and still be high quality next year, I couldn’t resist buying my replacement sink now. And it makes me happy to know that even though I won’t get to use it for probably a year, I have one of the best sinks out there, made by someone who cares about sinks, about his craft, about his customers, about being a person (and a businessperson) who stands behind his word and his work.Thank you, Dino, for designing and crafting—and signing your name to—the best sinks money can buy! I can’t wait to be “reunited” with my farmhouse Signature sink :)
