Early on, my journey began with a deep-seated passion that has guided me to discover the true essence of happiness: helping others. This fulfillment comes from various acts of service, whether I'm volunteering at a local food pantry or designing a custom sink design for a family. I wholeheartedly believe that my sink designs profoundly enhance the lives of every family they touch. For an elderly couple, a specially designed sink can provide the comfort and safety they need to enjoy their home longer. For a busy family juggling time constraints, my designs offer efficiency while also empowering individuals with physical challenges to maintain their independence and feel valued as essential members of their families.
To date, no other company has designed a functional, quality, single bowl corner sink. I introduced single bowl corner sinks 24 years ago. Apparently, they are difficult to build for mass producers. It is a shame that the bulk of corner sinks are still single bowl, fairly useless sinks. The trade refers to them as butterfly sinks. I suppose that is because about the only thing that fits in the sink is a butterfly :) I have done everything possible to lower the prices of these sinks so that more people can afford them when a corner sink is the only option for a kitchen design.
Of high importance to me, I have been designing proper accessible sinks for those in wheelchairs. The industry, yet again, has not designed proper ADA compliant sinks. Sadly, to be ADA compliant, the sink must be roughly 5 1/2" deep. Compliance has no regulation, as far as I am aware, as to where the drain should be located. Most mass producers simply make their standard single bowl, center drain sink shallower to comply. To me, this is a disgrace.
What I find to be the most fun is working with a family to design a sink specifically for their needs. My zoom meetings generally last well over an hour, and sometimes I have multiple meetings before a design is pinned down. Often, I assist with kitchen and whole house design on these calls. Recently, I redesigned a customer's kitchen, office, family room, and master bathroom during multiple meetings. More frequently, I have design ideas for kitchen cabinetry that often save money and add utility to the kitchen plan.
My wife, Lisa, often comments that we have been invited to dinner and to even stay at customers' homes in just about every state in the USA. On one occasion, visited a past customer or two when traveling. It is such a treat to see the smiles and the warm welcomes. Just as special is when customers visit us. Some are from far away, and some live nearby. Since we are located 30 minutes from Disney World, visitors often combine their vacation with a visit to our showroom and artisan shop
Looking forward, I am just as eager to come to the office as I was the day I started the business. I look forward to meeting you in a zoom meeting or in person.
