Corner Kitchen Sink Options and Innovation for Functional Kitchens

Types of Corner Kitchen Sinks: Corner kitchen sinks maximize usable counter space while improving workflow in modern kitchen layouts. In contrast with traditional butterfly or double bowl sinks, a single bowl corner sink turns what is often wasted space into a functional workstation, blending ergonomic comfort with design flexibility. Because kitchens vary widely in shape and use, understanding the available corner kitchen sink options helps homeowners choose the right configuration for their space.

Why Traditional Corner Kitchen Sinks Failed

As a kitchen designer from 1977 through 1999, I specified countless corner sinks that simply did not work well. Double bowl corner sinks and undersized single bowl designs were uncomfortable to stand at, inefficient to use, and difficult to clean.

Corners were treated as a compromise instead of an opportunity.

That changed in 2000.

We replaced a double-bowl corner sink with a single-bowl corner workstation sink without replacing the countertops. Finished in one day.

Benefits of Corner Kitchen Sinks

In 2000, I introduced the first true single-bowl corner kitchen sink. The goal was simple. Transform the corner from wasted space into one of the most functional work zones in the kitchen. (See image above.)

By eliminating unnecessary dividers and designing the sink for real ergonomics, the corner became comfortable, efficient, and easy to maintain. This design set a new standard for what a corner kitchen sink could be and continues to influence sink design today.

As kitchens have become smaller and open floor plans more common, intelligent space-conscious sink design has become even more important. This has been our focus for decades.

Continuous Evolution of Corner Sink Design

Innovation did not stop with the original design. Over the years, we have refined and expanded our corner kitchen sink offerings to accommodate different cabinet configurations, workflows, and cooking styles.

Our latest advancement is a diagonal corner kitchen sink designed specifically for 90 degree corner cabinet installations. For the first time, a diagonal corner sink is not just visually appealing but fully functional.

The ultimate diagonal corner workstation sink. Patent Pending.

This corner workstation sink integrates food preparation directly on the sink surface.

  • A multiuse grid on the left supports rinsing and prep

  • A butcher-grade cutting board allows ingredients to be cut and slid directly into a bowl below

  • A sponge caddy on the right stores sponges, dish soap, and the top of a drain or disposal

Food prep becomes efficient and contained. Rinse, cut, slide, and move directly to the cooking area with no mess on the countertop.

Corner Kitchen Sink Materials

Each corner kitchen sink is made to order and available in:

All metal accessories are dishwasher safe when fabricated in 316L stainless steel. Unlike most sink manufacturers, our metal accessories carry a lifetime transferable warranty. No paperwork. No fine print. If an accessory fails due to a manufacturing defect, it is fully replaced regardless of ownership.

Our butcher-grade cutting boards are covered by a full three-year warranty against manufacturing defects and staining.
